For years, I felt stuck in a cycle I couldn’t break.
Each morning, I’d wake up and start the day with the best of intentions (and a green juice in hand), telling myself, “Tonight, I’ll just have one.”
But by evening?
I’d find myself pouring another glass.
And then another.
I wasn’t drinking all the time, but I was drinking more than I wanted to. No matter how many times I promised myself I’d cut back, I kept slipping back into the same habit.
I tried willpower. Didn’t work.
I set rules. I broke them.
I told myself I just needed more discipline. But that only made me feel worse.
But then, I started opening up.
The more I talked to other women, the more I realized—I wasn’t alone.
So many of us were caught in the same exhausting loop:
Drinking just enough to feel uneasy, but not enough to feel like we had a “real problem.”
Wanting to take a break, but having
no idea where to start.
Wishing for a way to reset—without labels, judgment, or all-or-nothing thinking.
When I finally decided to take a break from alcohol, I thought that would be it—just a simple choice to stop. I knew one thing for sure… I wanted to stop obsessing about the “management” of drinking. The mental tug-of-war was exhausting. Plain and simple–I wanted to not want it!
But I quickly realized… it wasn’t that easy.
I had to figure out everything through experience.
What to do when cravings hit.
How to navigate social events without a drink in my hand.
How to rewire my habits so I didn’t feel deprived.
How to actually enjoy life without alcohol.
I tried programs, self-help books, podcasts and YouTube-ing my way through but…
I didn’t feel like there was a clear roadmap for gray area drinkers like me—women who weren’t hitting rock bottom but still felt trapped in the drinking cycle
So, I went all in.
I spent so much time researching the science of alcohol—how it affects our brains, our habits, and our emotions. I experimented with different approaches, tested what worked, and threw out what didn’t.
And through all of that? I built a holistic system that worked.
I took everything I learned—the science, the mindset shifts, the real-life strategies—and created a step-by-step roadmap so other women wouldn’t have to struggle through trial and error like I did.
